I-Background on ACTED
ACTED is an international NGO registered in France. ACTED’s vocation is to support vulnerable populations affected by wars, natural disasters and/or economic and social crises, and to accompany them in building a better future. ACTED started its activities in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) in May 2007. ACTED is currently implementing projects covering multiple humanitarian / development sectors, funded by of a variety of international donors, which aim at protecting vulnerable households and strengthening civil society actors across the oPt. ACTED oPt offers a dynamic, rigorous and knowledge-orientated working environment.
II-Country Profile
In the occupied Palestinian territory, ACTED is both committed to humanitarian assistance and long-term development. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic capacities of communities, consolidate civil society organisations, and provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable, rural communities in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza. ACTED currently seeks a fleet Assistant for its humanitarian operations in Gaza.

III-Position Profile
- Work with the Logistics officer to design a suitably staffed and equipped transport function to support
ACTED’s vehicle operations and policies.
- Manage and be accountable for the inventory management of all vehicles related parts and consumables, including fuel
- Evaluate, manage, and monitor
- Focal point for all purchases in Transport Raising OFs for vehicles spare parts and vehicle repairs.
- Manage the Fuel Report
- Ensure that all vehicles carry the required on-board documentation and that all documents are kept current (including insurance).
- Ensure that all vehicles are secured when not in
- Be familiar with local regulations / traffic
- Ensure that appropriate communications while reservations for movement or flight ticket
- Ensure that equipment is installed and functioning in ACTED vehicles to meet the operational and security
- Prepare weekly and monthly report on transport department.
- Vehicle fuel/movement forms should be up to date (Log sheets for each vehicle) for refuelling and keeping accurate record and monitoring system on fuel consumption.
- Vehicle checklist report should be monitored weekly
- Manage the flight ticket booking system sheet (ITR).
- Rapid and quick response for any ticket reservation
- Payment follow up

IV-Qualifications:
- Diploma Degree or above.
- 1 year of experience in a relevant field
- Experience working in NGO/INGO is a plus;
- Excellent communication skills; approachable and good listener;
- Excellent team-working skills;
- Strong problem solving initiative and flexible;
- Good written communication skills;
- Good computer literacy, including use of smartphones and MS Office (Word and Excel);
- Good verbal and written English skills is of benefit;
