ACF is recruiting for an emergency response project for its Gaza office a
Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Project Officer
For a maternity replacement period of 3 months
The Candidate will:
-Ensure the effective implementation of activities defined by the FSL Head of Project (including: beneficiary identification and cross checking, monitoring data collection and analysis).
-Plan activities according to the project’s expected evolution.
-Evaluate and update project requirements (HR, financing, logistics) under FSL Head of Project supervision.
-Ensure correct follow-up and project monitoring tools are applied.
-Identify and inform the FSL Head of Project of any problems or constraints observed in the field.
-Ensure the drafting of timely reports in coordination with the FSL Head of Project.
-Propose solutions and improvements related to project implementation.
-Coordinate activities and sensitize local partners in the field.
-Participate in food security department and base coordination meetings.
-Analyse and build on experiences in order to share lessons learned, and if required, propose new directions for FSL projects and programmes.
-Participate in the implementation of ad hoc food security and livelihoods assessments, and surveys.
-Participate in information gathering from other NGOs, institutions, local authorities and other key actors relating to the local FSL situation.
--Participate with the FSL Head of Project and other departments in concept note and proposal development as required.
-Create project maps on Auto-Cad for the FSL department as required.
-Maintain and file project documents and correspondence.
-Report writing – including: weekly reporting of field activities and monthly data update to the FSL Head of Project as input to the APR.
-Translate documents as requested by the FSL Head of Project;
-Support to other departments as requested by the FSL Head of Project.
Profile of the Candidate:
-Bachelor degree in Agriculture, International Development, Education, Political Science or International Relations.
-Minimum 3 years proven relevant field experience in food security context in the Gaza Strip.
-Fluency in reading, writing and speaking Arabic and English
-Capacity to apply organizational rules and procedures.
-Capacity to treating information confidentially.
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
-Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
-Fully proficient in MS-Office and Internet.
