For an initial 6 month period

The Candidate will:
-Participate in information gathering from other NGOs, institutions, ministries, and local partners
about the Food Security situation in Hebron Governorate.
-Hold meetings with communities as required.
-Participate in design and implementation of Food Security assessments and project identification.
-Assess vulnerability criteria, identify the needs of the most vulnerable and propose appropriate
responses
-Assist a consultant in defining project implementation modalities (community organization,
identification and registration of beneficiaries, material distribution and monitoring tools).
-Write meeting minutes.
-Participate in the preparation reports related to the Food Security assessments.

Profile of the Candidate:
-University degree in development, agriculture, economics, community development or any
other related field.
-A Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferably with AECID (Spanish Cooperation)
or ECHO funded projects.
-Excellent knowledge of the Food Security context in the southern West Bank.
-Strong background with herding communities in the southern West Bank.
-Capacity to apply organizational rules and procedures.
-Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Internet).
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
-Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken). Ability to accurately translate from Arabic to English and vice versa.
-Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
-Valid driving licence and excellent driving skills.
