Food Security Field Officer
For an initial 4 months period
The Candidate will:
- Participate in the design and implementation of rapid food security assessments and
project identification studies under the supervision of the Food Security Project Manager.
- Identify project beneficiaries
- Supervise social workers
- Organize and supervise field activities in coordination with local partners
- Participate in data collection for baseline studies
- Participate in the design of food security concept papers and project proposals
- Participate in the information gathering from other NGO’s, institutions, ministries,
local partners and communities on the food security situation in the Gaza Strip
- Participate in the forecast and follow-up of the project expenses and budget
- Participate in meetings with the community and project staff to define roles and
responsibilities
Profile of the Candidate:
- University degree in agricultural engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of Cash For Work and Food Security Programming
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Good project field management skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Access, and Internet
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
