Caritas Baby Hospital (CBH) is a charitable institution committed to providing high quality health, social and educational services “to Mother and Child” in Palestine, CBH is looking for:
Fundraising and Media Officer
Incumbent of this position will be responsible for communication with local media while ensuring strong presence in social media. Employee will be in charge contacting new and potential donors for fundraising purposes while maintaining an effective working communication channel with current ones. Job Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
-Develop, in a team setting, potential fund raising strategy
-Proposal writing and presenting to potential funders
-Identify and execute donor engagement opportunities, including planning donor events and briefings.
-Support the development of key relationships within the portfolio of CBH and major donor prospects
-Manage and develop of multimedia website, content and design
-Aid with development of social media CBH awareness
-Write engaging social media content that is shareable and consistent with CBH practices
-Routinely update, maintain and monitor social media platforms
-Write news releases, fact sheets, articles and content for digital news room and/or assist with gathering social media content
-Liaising with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email while developing and maintaining solid working relationships with all key local media
-Research and write patient stories for publication in internal and external materials
-Assist other departments with internal and external hospital communication
Qualifications
-Superior writing and editing skills in both Arabic and English
-High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with staff and community at all levels
-In depth experience in a fundraising, journalistic, public relations or communications role
-Ability to rapidly understand complex issues
-Ability to work effectively with journalists and a sound understanding of the Palestinian Media
-High level organizational and time management skills
-Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and able to work as part of a team
-Ability to set priorities and achieve agreed objectives
-Bachelor degree in any job related field
-Masters’ degree is a plus
-Minimum of 5 year of working relevant fields
-Able to work in a strict corporate design and typographic rules
-Excellent command in English language, reading writing and speaking
-German language knowledge is a plus
