Background:
Teach For Palestine is an independent non-governmental Palestinian organization established in early 2023. Its mission is to contribute to providing quality and inclusive school education for all children in Palestine. This is achieved through improving the classroom and school environment, adopting innovative teaching, and learning methods, and seeking to provide promising creative solutions to educational challenges, especially in marginalized and remote areas.
TFP is working on developing collective leadership by investing in promising teachers who commit to teaching in vulnerable schools and becoming lifelong advocates for the right of every child to learn in safe and quality learning environments and act towards achieving this right. The program focuses on equipping the targeted teachers of primary levels with the necessary skills, knowledge, and mindsets to achieve transformative educational outcomes in Palestine.
As TFP approaches a key phase of growth, we aim to strengthen our impact and capacity through focused fundraising efforts. To support this development, we are seeking a Fundraising Consultant to help craft fundraising proposals that reflect TFP’s strategic objectives, mission, and vision. This role is essential for acquiring the funding needed to sustain and modestly expand our program, in line with realistic targets set in collaboration with our senior management.
Objectives:
- To develop high-quality, compelling program proposals that appeal to a diverse range of donors.
- Collaborate with TFP senior management to establish and meet agreed-upon fundraising targets within the specified term of the consultancy.
Scope of Work:
- Donor Engagement and Management:
- Implement strategies that effectively target and secure funding from a range of donors, including foundations, corporations, and government agencies, based on prior agreed-upon targets.
- Refine fundraising approaches based on feedback from potential donors and TFP’s evolving strategic needs.
- Proposal Development:
- Work in close coordination with TFP’s program teams and senior management to ensure a deep understanding of ongoing and planned projects.
- Create detailed, tailored proposals that clearly articulate the need, impact, and outcomes of TFP's initiatives, aligning these with the strategic objectives and core values of the organization.
- Deliverables:
- A series of detailed, ready-to-submit fundraising proposals that effectively communicate the mission, impact, and specific needs of TFP’s educational programs. These proposals should be adaptable to various donor requirements and preferences.
- A comprehensive donor mapping report with potential funding opportunities highlighted.
- A fundraising plan that includes detailed actions and timelines for meeting the fundraising targets set in collaboration with TFP senior management
- Timeline:
This is a short-term consultancy assignment. The expected duration of the contract will be specified in the contract agreement based on the consultant’s proposal and project needs.

- Consultant Qualifications:
- Advanced university degree
- Proven experience in fundraising and resource mobilization, with a strong track record of developing successful proposals and securing funding from diverse sources.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate foundations and the processes required to secure income.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with high-level stakeholders and build strategic partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of crafting compelling communication materials.
- Experience in organizing and delivering training on fundraising and resource mobilization.
- Development Sector Experience: Experience working in the development sector and with NGOs, producing high-quality outputs.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing requirements or feedback from multiple stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is required.
7. Evaluation Criteria:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the consultant’s experience, methodology, and cost-effectiveness.
