Fundraising Officer  

Al-R reef Palestinian Cinema is a noon-profit Palestinian Rural organization Cinema that was established in 2020 by an independent youth group, . Al-Reef aims to teach young Palestinian film makers the art of film making and provide them with tools to voice out their messages locally and internationally. Our aiming to create a creative generation capable of reflecting its vision and ideas in artistic ways . Through artistic content that serves the issues of the Palestinian human being, spreading the idea of cinema and creating an audience for it in the Palestinian territories due to the poverty of the Palestinian society in cinema and our need for it in a struggle to learn about the stories and struggles of the Palestinian people  vision is to become a space where Palestinian film makers and artists thrive and translate their dream projects into an artistic production. We will use this space to shed the light on the Palestinians daily lives, dreams, ambitions and struggles to become a medium of communication among Palestinians themselves as well as the rest of the world. 

Alreef Palestinian Cinema  seeks to employ fundraising officer  

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

-Assisting with the development of a funding strategy and a portfolio of local and international donors with having the ability to be a key player in donors charity community for maintaining long term relations with donors. 

-Research and follow up on published Calls for Proposals, Concept Notes, and Letters of Interest 

-Maintaining a fundraising calendar and coordinate meetings with donors with developing a system list of all contacts and deadlines for grant donor awards and new funding opportunities

-Provide Arabic/English translation as necessary

- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with local partner organizations, donors, private sectors partners, and national authorities.

-Excellent communication and presentation skills required to build relationships with potential donors.

-Ability to understand and generate budgets.

- Undertaking independent research in finding alternative resources for funding or grant opportunities

Education, Experience and Skills: 

- B.A. in any related fields

- Excellent written skills with the ability to produce concise and creative bids.

 -At least 3 years of experience in donor relations, project cycle management, and proposal writing

-Excellent communication skills; able to work independently or within team comprised of various departments under tight deadlines

-Proven experience in reporting to major donors, particularly EU and UN Agencies

-Fluent in both Arabic and English

-Excellent computer skills

-Able to travel and attend conferences and meetings throughout the West Bank as necessary

- Ability to organize, manage, and cooperate with other colleagues at different levels.
