Fundraising Officer
Al’ard is an organization that is legally registered by the Palestinian Ministry of Interior to work across all of the West Bank and Gaza regions. Our organization’s main focus target groups are vulnerable farmers in poor and remote communities (including male/female small farmers and youth farmers). At Al’ard, we attach special importance to youth farming groups. Thanks to their high energy and enthusiastic approach, we believe that the youth are the most important working engine for change and movement of societies towards improving their economic and social conditions and to ultimately eliminate poverty, as we believe that poverty is not inevitable.
Al’ard is seeking an excellent fundraiser to join our team. In this role, you will use your expert communication skills and keen sense of initiative to spot fundraising opportunities, develop relationships with potential donors, and manage fundraising campaigns. By coordinating events, writing proposals and concept notes, and recruiting and leading volunteers, you will hone your speaking, writing, and leadership abilities while moving Al’ard closer to its financial goals.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, professional, and organized, with a knack for research. We are looking for someone who believes in Al’ard’s mission and will demonstrate exceptional drive to further our existing fundraising efforts and help strategize and deliver new ones.
Objectives of this Role
- Promote awareness of the organization’s mission and work
- Accumulate a network of dedicated donors and volunteers
- Spot new fundraising opportunities
- Plan fundraising initiatives to help the organization meet financial goals
- Form strong relationships with external stakeholders
- Ensure major donors are satisfied and kept in the loop
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Research individuals, institutes, and foundations that may be interested in making donations.
- Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors
- Write grant applications and fundraising proposals
- Strategize and successfully execute fundraising campaigns
- Organize fundraising events while overseeing teams of volunteers
- Manage a budget and track whether goals are being met

Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of three years’ fundraising experience
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to lead and motivate colleagues and volunteers
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to conduct research
- Adept at managing tasks, planning fundraising events, and balancing priorities
- Close to native level in English (writing and speaking)
- Experience writing grant proposals, press releases, and/or fundraising letters
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, public relations, or a related field
- Certificate in Fundraising, Diploma in Fundraising, or similar qualification
- Competence in Microsoft Office suite and donor management systems
- Confidence with public speaking
- Legal/accounting/marketing experience a plus
