Gaza Project Coordinator
APHEDA is an implementing organization for the Australian Government AMENCA3 project “Producing for Profit: enhancing the long term profitability of small scale farmers and producers”. The project has been implemented in the West Bank and Gaza since 1st April 2016 and will end 30th April 2019 with possible extension to 30th April 2021. APHEDA is seeking to hire a Gaza Project Coordinator (GPC) to support the project team in implementing all project activities that will be implemented in Gaza. The GPC will report directly to the Program Director who is responsible for overall management of the project. The position is initially for one year with possible extension for another two years depending on funding.

Contract Duration: 12 months starting from 1st March 2018
Reporting to: Program Director
Location: Gaza Strip with travel to West Bank
Aim of the job: To coordinate and assist the team in implementing all project activities in the Gaza Strip.
Project Coordinator Responsibilities:
Assist the team in developing project plans, activities and budgets.
Provide support to partner staff from local partners’ organizations.
Arrange for meetings with different stakeholders including private sector companies, farmers, and partners’ organizations.
Participate in sector and coordination meeting with other international and local organizations.
Prepare and maintain minutes of all meetings and share them with the Program Director.
Monitor the implementation plans and ensure activities are implemented within the proposed schedules.
Prepare and share a monthly progress report to the Program Director.
Assist in developing annual reports/plans and ensure deadlines are met.
Ensure projects adhere to frameworks, donor regulations and all documentation is maintained appropriately.
Arrange and participate in all field visits including those requested by APHEDA and DFAT and share minutes of these visits.
Assess risks/issues and provide solutions wherever possible and applicable.
Arrange and chair meetings with project staff in Gaza and share the meetings minutes with the Program Director.

Selection Criteria:
Bachelor degree in business or related field of study.
Five years’ experience in a related field.
Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
Knowledge of agriculture and private sector in Gaza Strip
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge files management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
Ability to work on tight deadlines.
Work proficiency in Arabic and English
