Position: GBV Officer
Reporting into: GBV Programme Lead - Gaza
Type: Fixed Term, Full-time, 35 hours per week
Location: Gaza, South
Salary:ILS 107,700
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory and Lebanon.
The GBV Officer works as part of MAP’s Protection Team under the direct supervision of the GBV and Women’s Empowerment Lead and with the guidance and support of the Head of Protection. The role is based initially in the south of Gaza with very regular field visits across Khan Younis and Deir el Balah (initially). The postholder will work with local partners to deliver survivor-centered GBV projects, oversee and monitor implementation, and identify solutions to challenges as they arise.
