General Manager

ASALA for Credit and Development Company was founded in 2014 by ASALA NGO and Sharakat for SMEs Investment, as a micro-finance company in compliance with the new banks and lending institutions law of Palestine. As a Palestinian development company, ASALA’s mission is to empower low-income women to enhance their lives, and to contribute to poverty alleviation, employment generation and economic development in Palestine. Until today, ASALA (both the NGO and the Company) have assisted more than 40,000 women with over US$68 in loans and technical assistance across the West Bank and Gaza. .

ASALA is seeking a highly qualified General Manager at its headquarters in Ramallah to lead the teams in both the West Bank and Gaza to achieve and exceed the mission and objectives set by ASALA’s shareholders.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Investment, or any relevant field from an accredited university;
Minimum 10 years of experience in financial management or managing businesses, preferably in Micro Finances or banking sector;
Very good ability to spot business opportunities, analyze data and design business plans;
Highly reliable, self-motivated, multi task, responsive, results-driven with strong business sense and ability to work independently;
Strong leadership, negotiation and coaching skills;
Good writing and presentation skills in both English and Arabic,
Knowledge of MFIs and Banking sector
Has evidenced experience in leading teams and managing operations effectively
Humble, pragmatic with good social and influencing skills
Ability to work flexible hours and travel within and outside of the West Bank
Ability to work collaboratively with the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.
