Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. MAP is seeking a General Practitioner who will be responsible for providing comprehensive services, including checkups, screenings, and prescriptions, within a mobile clinic setting. Key responsibilities include patient referrals, accurate data entry, clinical audits, and contributing to clinic reports. The role requires flexibility, adherence to confidentiality, and a commitment to MAP’s values of Integrity, Dignity, Impact, and Solidarity. Prioritizing equity, diversity, protection, and staff wellbeing in all aspects of work, is essential.

The ideal candidate holds a medical degree with a valid license to practice in the oPt and has completed a minimum 12-month internship. Extensive experience in medical settings, particularly in public or community health, is required, with experience in mobile clinics considered advantageous. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential, along with the flexibility to handle on-the-spot issues. The role requires proficiency in English and Arabic and a willingness to travel within the West Bank.
