General Practitioner

Islamic Relief Palestine established a center for psychosocial counseling in Gaza City. The centre
aims to create healthy atmosphere for children, through psychological support, educational support
and other recreational activities. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancy in Gaza City.

Title : General Practitioner
Ref : GP/CW/39/2010
Duration : One year (Part Time 50%)
Duty Station : Gaza city and Khan Younis city

Main Duties:
Carry out the physical examination. prescribe medications, and to participate in mental health awareness. Participate in diagnosis and treatment plan. Provide consultations for family and child and other activities of the team work. Refer clients to specialists or to other institutions for noncounseling treatment of problems and medical tests..

Candidates must possess the following competencies:
-University degree in medicine with a license from Ministry of Health.
-Post graduate diploma in mental health is an advantage.
-Two years experience in dealing with mental health cases.
-Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
-Interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
-Good computer Skills.
-English language skills.
-Fully aware of the cultural sensitivity and stigma of mental health disorders.
