For an initial 6 month period

The Candidate will:
-Build up a comprehensive database for the ACF Water and Sanitation programmes.
-Link the database to a GIS system the ACF Water and Sanitation programmes.
-Train appropriate ACF staff on the use of the GIS mapping system and database.
-Participate in the external coordination mechanisms related to Information Management.
-Write internal weekly technical reports and work plans.
-Participate in reporting for donors.

Profile of the Candidate:
-Higher education in geology, agronomy, environmental science, geography or related fields.
-Relevant post-graduate level qualification in Geographical Information System (GIS).
-Relevant experience with Geographical Information System (GIS) software, specifically Arc GIS (Arc View or Arc/Info).
-Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
-Tactful and diplomatic.
-Security awareness.
-Adaptability and tolerance to stressful conditions.
-Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Internet).
-Valid Driving license.
