GlobalCom/Systems Engineer

 

Globalcom Telecommunications PLC., the first wireless internet service provider in Palestine, is seeking to fill in the following position in its head office in Ramallah.

 

Responsibilities:
1-Perform systems administration to environments running Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.
2-Ensure daily operational activities are performed, including creating and maintaining accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft exchange 2007.
3-Managing DNS, Backup and applying knowledge of the OSI model.
4. Environment monitoring to detect hardware or software issues, and taking necessary corrective actions.
5-Maintain responsibility for the installation, upgrading, testing, and patching of Microsoft Windows 2008 Servers.
6-Assist with testing and integration of a variety of desktop applications into the baseline configuration.
7-Troubleshoot and resolve problems occurring with the current build and other systems within the team's realm of responsibility.
8-Develop documentation and provide technical training to end-users and internal support staff.

Qualifications:
1-BS degree in computer engineering or computer science.
2-2+ years of experience with administering Microsoft Windows systems.
3-Experience with Active Directory, Exchange 2007 and Group Policies.
4-Experience with identifying, isolating, and resolving problems efficiently.
5-Knowledge of current storage and retrieval methods.
6-Knowledge of networking, including VPNs.
7-Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification or experience with demonstrating MCSE skills Bottom of Form.
