Head of Product Development

A company in Ramallah is seeking dedicated individuals with the drive and ambition to succeed.

Overall Purpose of Role:
Manage a local team of web developers and an offshore Technologies Division.
Lead the development, testing, launch and maintenance of new and existing systems.
To lead and effectively manage product development for the group.
To collate, assess, translate business needs throughout the organization in to a corporate technology and product roadmap.

Main Activities and Responsibilities   
To work with the business unit managers to create a corporate roadmap
To manage the PIM (Product and Information Management Unit), which comprises product management team and a web development team, as well as the remote technology group
To collate and evaluate business requirements (from all business units) in to a comprehensive database for on-going review
To lead prioritization of projects based on business needs and business cases
To lead the translation of business needs into MRDs & BRDs (marketing requirements documents & Business requirements documents respectively)
To create work plans based on the roadmap and work with the web team and the technology group in order to successfully deliver on time and on budget
To maintain full visibility of the roadmap and its delivery to all business unit managers
To constantly look for ways to improve our business by introducing new technologies and solutions that can make work more efficient and more effective and can contribute to the company’s financial performance
Responsible for the overall training of new and existing employees regarding new products and systems in conjunction with HR
