Head of Programmes

Islamic Relief is a humanitarian INGO (www.irpal.ps) operating in Palestine in the fields of emergency relief and longterm development. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies for its office in The West Bank.

Title: Head of Programmes.
Ref: HOP-WB-05-2012
Duration: one year (full time) – Renewable.

Overall Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the HOM, the HOP is responsible for the overall management and direction
of IR programmes and projects in West Bank; including the Emergency & Relief, the Child Welfare and the Development projects.

Candidates must possess the following competencies:
-Bachelor degree and preferably post-graduation degree in administrative management, social development or a related field.
-Minimum of seven years’ work experience with an international INGO.
-Proven experience of designing & implementing development and/or emergency relief programmes.
-Extensive experience and knowledge of West Bank.
-A proven record of effective management.
-Experience in programme planning, monitoring, evaluation & appraisal.
-Budgeting skills
-Very good Interpersonal skills and communication skills.
-Excellent report writing skills.
