Job summary
The Health Educator works as part of the outreach clinical team in areas of Qalqilya, and when needed in Salfit that are isolated by the Security Barrier. Main tasks include providing health education activities in Merlin targeted project sites, working in cooperation with a clinic team at the primary health care level for identification of client health education needs. He/she is responsible providing health education activities in the identified villages, in clinic, school and community centre settings.
Selection Criteria Essential
1. Relevant qualifications and experience (Health, social sciences or related field).
2. Knowledge and experience in community health education.
3. Ability to use different educational methodology in providing health education skills.
4. Ability to undertake travel in Qalqilya and Salfit Districts on a daily basis
5. Good spoken, written English and Arabic languages
6. Ability and willingness to work within a team and under pressure
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills Desirable
1. Experience in patient counselling skills / patient education to improve health awareness.
