Health Field Officer / 4 month fixed term contract

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of war and armed violence. It takes action in response to emergencies and at the same time promotes respect for international humanitarian law and its implementation in national law.

Your Job (main tasks)
-Works with the Health Delegate assigned to Emergency Department Programs.
-Collects and analyses data on ED activity
-Assists the Health Delegate with translation at formal and informal meetings.
-Works with Health Delegate on activities related to ICRC programs in Ministry of Health hospitals.
-Is involved in training, both classroom and clinical on-site activities.
-Assists the Health Delegate in writing monitoring visit reports and minutes of workshops and meetings.
-Reports and records incidents related to Health care in Danger observed or reported
-Assists the Health Delegate in writing monitoring visit reports and minutes of workshops and meetings.
-Interprets accurately from English to Arabic and vice versa.

Your Profile (skills & experience required)
-University degree or professional diploma (Professional diploma Health related focus)
-3 - 5 years’ work experience  with some years in a clinical environment
-Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
-Very good computer skills
-Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment
-Good analytical skills
