Health Information System Medical Advisor

The USAID-funded Palestinian Health Sector Development and Reform Project (Flagship) is seeking to fill one-year positions for a Program Officer and Health Information System Medical Advisor. Job duties are listed herein:

The principal duties and responsibilities include:
-Monitor and analyze trends and issues related to HIS and apply this analysis to country level programs supported by Flagship Project.
-Apply medical and public health expertise to assist with the development and review of system technical requirements.
-Provide senior level strategic and programming guidance, including assisting with the preparation and/or review of strategies and program plans to address HIS implementation.
-Develop and maintain a close relationship through liaison and networking to answer ,medical queries raised by doctors, nurses and field staff related to the HIS to effectively assist in all customer services activities that may require medical support.
-Coordinate and support the clinical trials activities to achieve the overall HIS objectives
-Ability to train medical staff and nurses on using the system.

Required Qualifications and/or Equivalent Experience include:
-A Medical Doctor with 5 to 7 years of working experience on health information systems.
-Ability to work under pressure independently and with large teams.
-Solid communication skills in speaking and writing.
-Knowledge of the health system in Palestine.
-Experience performing statistical analysis.
