Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) is an International Humanitarian Organization and a member of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. QRCS started its representation in Gaza on January 2008 in order to address emergency and humanitarian needs in Gaza Strip.

Title: Health Projects Officer
Location: Gaza Strip
Duration: 6 Month

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Technical project Management
-Participate in health programs’ and strategy development within the Gaza Strip areas.
-Undertake/ assist needs assessment and survey if necessary.
-Prepare and write timely and accurate project proposals and reports in collaboration with QRCS Gaza Office Director.

Supervision
-Quality control of health projects logistics.
- Build and maintain relationships with other health actors in Gaza Strip.
-Ensure understanding of roles, responsibilities, lateral relationships and accountabilities.

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
-Development of M&E plans and using data for decision making in planning and implementation of QRCS health programs in Gaza Strip.
-Leading the monitoring and evaluation of QRCS Gaza health projects.
-Ensuring proper functioning of the systems for regular assessment, monitoring and evaluation of the program against its objectives and expected outputs
-Undertake/Coordinate the submission of timely and accurate monthly activity reports for inclusion in the monthly situation report submitted to the QRCS HQ in Doha.
-Facilitate the documentation of best practices and lessons learnt and share the information with the QRCS Gaza Office Director for further dissemination.
-Encouraging beneficiaries (local health workers) involvement in health activities, to ensure long-term ownership and effectiveness of program.

Qualification:
-Medical Doctor, Biomedical Engineer, Pharmacist or Nurse with strong post qualification experience (minimum 5 years).
-Previous experience in health development or humanitarian aid field work.
-Strong experience of representation at all levels, specially, with local and International counterparts.
-Strong report and proposal writing skills.
-Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
-Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office.
-Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritizing a high workload and multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
-Demonstrated experience of team leadership and staff management.
-Experience of proactively identifying and addressing issues.
-An understanding of and commitment to QRCS’s mission and values.
