Background:
INJAZ Palestine is an independent Palestinian organization, non-profit NGO, dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. INJAZ programs are delivered by corporate and community volunteers, who provide relevant hands-on experiences that give students from high school the knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.
Objective:
INJAZ Palestine is looking for a dynamic and creative HR and Finance Assistant who will be able to assist the Admin and Finance Officer in preparing and processing Financial/Accounting transactions and administer the Human Resources functions.
Finance Functions
- Assist in preparing and processing financial transactions such as payments requests, receipt vouchers, bank memos, checks, and other formal letters
- Maintain orderly and comprehensive filing systems and archiving (both in paper and computerized forms)
- Prepare bank reconciliations on monthly basis
- Audit departmental financial transactions including petty cash, bids, and memos
- Prepare financial reports for management and donors
- Prepare financially HR related transactions such as payrolls, taxes, vacations, end of service, savings accounts, etc.
Human Resources Functions
- Assist in Implementing HR policies and procedures and take appropriate and corrective measures
- Manage and update personnel records
- Monitor and supervise staff daily attendance and performance
- Contribute in recruitment procedures including coordinating staff recruitment and selection processes
- Assist in organizing transitional provisions of employees in terms of compensations, pay and benefits, and position transfers
- Ensure that an appropriate HR system is maintained
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, minor in Accounting or Finance
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of Accounting and HR Administration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient knowledge in computer programs
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure
- Valid driving license
