SOS Children’s Villages Palestine is searching for:
Position Title: HR Officer.
Working Location: Bethlehem
Status: Full Time Limited Contract.
Contract Type: Limited Contract until 31/05/2026 and might be extended.
Mission of the position:
The Human Resources Officer supports the Human Recourses Manager in applying and administering all HR functions, administrating and organising the personnel administration according to the Human Resources Manual and the national legislation. The Human Resources Officer Function is responsible for keeping all personnel documents updated and is organising the personnel administration of the Member Association.
Main clients:
- HR Manager.
- All Staff.
- Stakeholders.
Key performance areas and main responsibilities:
- Check and adjust the needed of the daily and monthly attendance sheet, make sure all related issues are compliant and correct i.e. leave and attendance discrepancies; handling leave requests on the HR System
- Follow up and update the training and development master sheet for all staff.
- Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, i.e. employment contracts and recruitment guides
- Type all the required letters for employees with coordinate with HR Manager.
- Follow up the finger print software and make sure it is working as required and follow up with service supplier for any issue.
- Arrange travel accommodations by Follow up the employees travel from the travel request up to close the travel with receiving training report as per requested and prepare all the required documents to get the visa on time.
- Add, delete, update and follow up with insurance company for all kind of requests by employees.
- Exercises good time management skills.
- Maintains an up-to-date employee database for all NA staff
- Apply and follow up permits for Jerusalem and Gaza.
- Prepare the advertisement of any vacant position in the organization with coordination of HR Manager.
- Shortlist the candidates applied for vacant job as per requested criteria by HR Manager.
- Assist in writing reports of HR department.
- Manage the onboarding process for new employees and make sure that prober induction program been applied.
- Develops simple but effective personnel administrative procedures for the NO, in accordance with the policies of the SOS organization.
- Keeping up-to-date personnel records and files while ensuring the proper safekeeping of all such records, and limits access only to authorised staff members
- Keeps up-to-date data sheet of employee workshops, NO activities, meetings, correspondence etc.
- Prepares new employee files and official letters of appointment, ensures additions to insurance, etc.
- Assist in the Orientation process of new employees
- Prepare the employees insurance lists at the NA level
- Ensures that employees receive travel insurance when attending overseas workshops
- Assists in the recruitment process; prepares interview schedules, etc.
- Prepare the Exit Checklist form and fill it for the leavers’ Employees.
- Manage that all employees have a well-maintained staff file at programme and national office level.
- Assisting with any other administrative tasks as and when they arise may be necessary, including helping with travel arrangement.
- Communicating with recruiters and other external parties.
- Print annual employment card to all the staff and make sure that all the employees have one in both locations West Bank and Gaza.
Child Safeguarding (CS)
- Responsible within own area of work to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination
- Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the IOR CS focal person and/or to the respective line manager

Qualifications and Competencies for the position:
Must Criteria:
- University degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, Law, Economics or a similar field related to Human Resources
- Minimum 3 years working experience in the field of HR.
- Good command of English, written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills
