Position Title: HR Recruitment & Learning Officer

Line Manager: Human Resources Manager

Status: Full Time

Contract Type: Limited Contract until 31/12/2025

Location: SOS Palestine National Office – Bethlehem

Mission of the Position:

The HR Recruitment & Learning Officer supports the Human Recourses Manager is responsible for the entire recruitment process. He/she supports the Human Recourses Manager to identify recruitment needs, draft and circulate job offers and select candidates, according to the Human Resources Manual and the national legislation, in addition the SOS national recruitment guidelines.

Key performance areas and main responsibilities:

  • Develop and update job descriptions and job profile.
  • Develop a recruitment strategy in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager and other management staff. Define the company's needs, identify the profiles required and plan the actions to be taken to fill vacant positions.
  • The Recruitment Officer is responsible for drafting and publishing job vacancies, sourcing candidates, shortlisting and conducting recruitment interviews and ensure that processes are optimized to attract the best profiles.
  • Prepares interview schedules, conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods refer to National Recruitment Guidelines to filter candidates within schedule.
  • The Recruitment and Learning Officer analyses the performance of recruitment process making sure using the evaluation matrix templates of SOS, generate detailed reports and make recommendations to improve recruitment strategies.
  • Collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs.
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team.
  • Prepare the advertisement of any vacant position in the organization with coordination of HR Manager.
  • Communicating with recruiters and other external parties.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new employees and make sure that proper induction program been applied.
  • Assist in writing reports of HR department.
  • Follow up and update the training and development master sheet for all staff refer to employees Performance appraisals and Individual Work Development plans.

Child Safeguarding (CS)

  • Responsible within own area of work to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence and discrimination
  • Responsible for reporting any CS suspicion, concern, allegation or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the IOR CS focal person and/or to the respective line manager.

Must Criteria

  • University degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or a similar field related to Human Resources
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in the field of HR Recruitment.
  • Good command of English, written and spoken
  • Excellent communication skills
