Human Resource Officer

PalTrade is seeking candidates for the position of Human Resource Officer to start immediately
Job purpose :
To develop and deliver employee’s job objectives towards supporting PalTrade’s overall strategic aims. The job holder will provide professional advice and support to managers and staff on all aspects of people management, which fully reflects PalTrade’s desire to be an employer of choice and current employment best practice.
Job details :
1-support on the full range of HR activities (including policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, absence management, performance management, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), work complaints, absence management etc.), in order to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management.
2-Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants according to PalTrade HR plan and strategic objectives . recruiting staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates;
3-Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
4-Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs and PalTrade growth plan
5-Develop employee performance appraisal system. Monitor and review the system of performance appraisal and continually develop as necessary, ensuring that periodic appraisals are carried out in a timely manner and followed up
6-Prepare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination,leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system followed in the Organization.
7-analyzing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers, and Administer the evaluation of all learning and development activities. Maintain training records for all staff and assist with any training initiatives, as required
8-Maintain current knowledge of affirmative action guidelines and laws as per the Palestinian Labor Law.
9-Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, employee updated handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.
10-Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures and Serve as a link between management and employees.
11-Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records,Keep track of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for employees.
12-Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
13-Follow up the employees’ health insurance on monthly and yearly basis in term of; invoices reimbursement, renew the health insurance with the same company or other one as per internal regulation and procedures.
14-dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degrees in Human Resources Management, Business Management, and Business with languages or relevant field, plus 5 years work experience, at least three years of which were in similar responsible position.
Knowledge and Skills
the incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
-Human resources management;
-Job descriptions;
-Performance review methods and techniques;
-Staff training, development and recognition;
-Mentoring and coaching;
-an understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures;
-Ability to analyze organizational behavior as well as human behavioral characteristics and motivations;
-Display leadership qualities and behaviors;
-Self-confident and professionally tactful to be able to stand your ground and convictions in the face of opposing opinions; and
-Several years of experience supervising staff. Equivalencies will be considered.
