Particularly involved in the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the first cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI's teams - 2000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, and a few volunteers - work with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

Contract duration: 3 months renewable according to funding
Job Summary:
The Humanitarian Access and Security Officer supports the Field Coordinator/Country director in ensuring the safety and security of operations for Solidarités International in the Gaza Strip.
Job Description:
Security and Safety Management:
- Support the Field Coordinator/ Country director in ensuring the full compliance to all internal security and safety rules and procedures within Gaza Strip.
- Monitor and analyse, on a permanent basis, the security and humanitarian access context, and provides relevant and timely updates to the Field Coordinator/ Country director.
- Support the Field Coordinator/ Country director in the management of potential security incidents occurring within Gaza Strip and guide all SI’ staff in the preparation of the security incident report.
- Ensure that all new incoming national staff,staff receive a qualitative and timely security and contextual briefing. This task may be extended to international staff, upon decision and guidance from the Field Coordinator/ Country director.
- Validate under the supervision of the Field Coordinator/ Country director the movement planning to and within Gaza Strip. Carry out security checks for the clearance of team departures out into the field.
- Ensures that all security and safety related equipment and premises are well maintained and ready for immediate use.
- Supports the Field Coordinator/ Country director in the implementation of security and access assessments, when and where necessary, upon discussion with the Field Coordinator/ Country director.
- Participate in drafting and preparing SOP related to security, safety and liaison within Gaza Strip.
- Ppreparing the weekly security pack and report it to the Field Coordinator/ Country director
- Ensure systematic tracking and documenting the locations and movements of Solidarités International’s staff and operations within the Gaza strip.
Liaison and coordination with relevant authorities:
- Establish and maintain successful relations with all relevant authorities, in support of all SI interventions and activities when requestingrequested by Field Coordinator/ Country director.
- Develops and maintainmaintain a network of contact, permitting the collection of relevant and prompt updates and information related to the overall security context in our field locations.
- When required and deemed relevant, introducesintroduce the SI team members to key stakeholders in SI areas of intervention.
Human resources (if applied)
- Recruit, support and manage the team under his/her supervision
- Ensure good coordination between his/her team and other department
- Initiate and carry-on daily capacity building
- Conduct and ensure regular performance appraisal of his/her team
Representation
- Under delegation of the Field Coordinator/ Country director, represent Solidarités International during humanitarian and security coordination meetings
- Ensure that Solidarités International’s message is conveyed during meetings in accordance with its mandate and programs
- Regularly visit Solidarités International’s intervention sites
Reporting:
- Contribute to keep the Security Packs of our based relevant and qualitative, with timely updates.
- Share ad-hoc briefing notes on potential change of security and political context.
- Responsible for archiving all security and liaison documentation
- Provide updates/notes for the weekly meeting
Translation
- On request, provide interpretation for conversations between the Field Coordinator/ Country director, or other Solidarités International personnel and/or its contacts
- On request, translate document related to security and other-related documents

Studies: Bachelor or equivalent, in political science or any relevant field
Experience: At minimum 2 years' experience in the sector, experience in safety/security context analysis and/or external representation is an asset
Languages: English professional working, fluent in Arabic
Skills:
- Good analytic and writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills,
- Knowledge of NGO coordination and understanding of program design
- High level of computer literacy
- High level with google map, google earth and Pack office
