ICT Specialist
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles.
The ICRC Delegation in Israel and the Occupied Territories (IL/OT), is recruiting a qualified candidate for the following position:
ICT Specialist 1
Place of Employment : Jerusalem
Contract duration : 1 Year contract, renewable (including 3 months’ probational
Period)
Occupation rate : 100%
Starting Date : 01 February 2024
Main responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the ICT Coordinator 1 Jerusalem, the ICT Specialist – Jerusalem sets up and monitors small computer and communication infrastructures in coordination with the ICT Coordinator. She/he also briefs end-users on standard computer systems (hardware and/or software), provides technical advice and assistance with IT equipment and its use and provides remote support when needed, manages inventory by monitoring database(s) and carrying out regular physical checks, checks the ICT invoices and bills and follows up on the payments with the finance department, manages stock and allocates equipment in an efficient manner, taking into account users' needs and ICRC policies.

Education and professional experience:
- University degree/professional diploma in relevant field
- Professional certification in IT is an asset (i.e. Software engineering, network engineer, etc)
- Confirmed technical skills in IT
- Good command of English, Hebrew and Arabic
Desired profile and technical skills:
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar position in the area of the ICT service catalogue (e.g. workplace services, telecommunications, IT, help desk, etc.).
- Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software
- Customer service skills
- Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication
- Effective problem solving skills
- High attention to details
- Ability to adhere to the organizations work ethics and code of conduct
- Ability to effectively work in a team
- Valid Israeli driving license
