As part of our Projects on Inclusive Education supporting and developing inclusive education policies, practices and culture in Awqaf schools in East Jerusalem, Terre des Hommes Italy is looking for qualified professionals to be hired from July/August 2016 until April 2017.

TdH It offers:

3 posts for the position of Inclusive Education Field Staff (IEFS) – full time/part-time

The IEFS will be part of a team that promotes  inclusive policy, practice and culture in targeted schools  and  in  the  community,  recognizing  that  inclusion  in  education  is  one  aspect  of inclusion  in  society.  They  will  be  committed  to  helping  individual  children  with  additional needs and difficulties overcome any barrier to learning and to promoting the early recognition of signs of difficulties and additional needs; they will coach and inspire teachers, learning support staff and other professionals  in  targeted  schools  to  identify  and  deploy  team  resources  in  effective  and creative ways, and meet the requirements of individual children.

Candidates need to possess the following requirements:


-Degree in Special/Inclusive Education, Education, Early Childhood Development (ECD).
-Prior work experience in schools or other educational settings.
-Competence  and  a  solid  commitment  towards  promoting  inclusion,  the  principles  of development and the organizational goals of TdH It
-Knowledge of models of learning and principles of effective teaching, assessment of learning and AEN strategies
-Sound  organizational  skills  and ability  to  work  as  part  of  a  team  and  to  interact  with diverse stakeholders
-Good  communication  skills  and capacity  to  build  consensus  and  promote  the implementation of a shared vision
-Fluency in written and spoken Arabic; Good command of written and spoken English
-Good computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point).
