Information and communication technology Technical Officer

Scope of Role
The ICT Technical Officer will be responsible for managing ICT network and equipment, handling daily ICT inquiries, and supporting the ICT unit in delivering high quality services and systems.
Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
- Adhere to NRC policies, guidelines, and standards.
- Ensure that all ICT supporting documents are properly filed and secured.
- Provide regular updates and status reports as required by management.
- Manage digital assets and infrastructure, such as computers, printers, scanners, routers, switches, etc.
- Deliver timely and high-quality technical IT support and training.
- Assist in the development and implementation of ICT tools and procedures.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and management.
- Contribute to implementation of Safe and Inclusive Programming Minimum Standards across your area of work.
Specific responsibilities
- Provide relevant ICT training and onboarding Induction for new staff.
- Participate in developing the user manuals and other ICT training materials.
- Support new hires onboarding by preparing the ICT package, assets and required access.
- Responsible for configuring and managing the ICT devices in accordance with the ICT policies and procedures.
- Execute and manage the maintenance of all equipment and systems in accordance with the ICT policies and procedures.
- Provide technical ICT support and respond to staff inquiries in an efficient timely manner.
- Follow up, manage, and ensure that help desk tickets are entered and resolved in a timely matter.
- Manage daily telecommunication related -requests and provide monthly analysis reports.
- Update contact list and telecommunication packages and/or plans.
- Assist with the purchase of ICT-related items and maintain proper records and documentation.
- Responsible for the inventory, installation, configuration and the payment documentation of any new device, system or network equipment.
- Responsible for ensuring network availability and performing regular maintenance checks on all the network devices.
- Conduct regular visits to sub offices to ensure that the IT infrastructure and users’ IT-related inquiries are being addressed as required.
- Assist in managing access to ICT systems and ensure the implementation of data security protocols on local ICT devices and systems
- Monitors and reports ICT expenses and assist with the preparation of ICT operating budgets

Competencies

- Minimum 3 years' Experience
- Bachelor degree in related field
- Previously working with INGOs
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal
- Previous experience in performing in complex and volatile contexts

Additional Information:
Contract duration: Open End.
Working hours: 40 hours/week, Sun-Thu (5 days per week)
Salary/benefits: According to NRC’s salary scale and terms and conditions
Duty station: Gaza (open to Gaza strip residents only)
