Information Security Officer

The Palestine Monetary Authority is an autonomous organization with an important role in the development of the Palestinian economy through its work in economic analysis, in supervision of banking institutions, and in keeping the banking system sound and effective.

It invites qualified candidates to submit their resumes for the following permanent position:

Title: Information Security Officer
The Information Security Officer will Assist in the development, planning and implementation of information security programs and control systems to maintain alignment with PMA security and privacy policies, standards and common industry practice. He/she will Serve as a security subject matter expert. Provide reviews and evaluations of the security impact of proposed changes to the technology environment. The officer will also be Responsible for timely maintenance of security and privacy related documents including policies, standards, data classifications and educational material .

Minimum Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Electrical Engineering or other related technical field or equivalent experience.
-Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in 2 or more of the industry standard information security domains.
Preference may be given to candidates with a financial services industry background and university or college degrees in a related discipline.
-Familiarity with information security concepts and technologies
-CISSP or CISM information security designation is a distinct advantage.
-Ability to create and implement standardized processes and ensure that processes are adhered to.
-Demonstration of ability to manage complex projects using life cycle methodologies.

Candidates for the above positions are all expected to have:
-Excellent computer skills.
-The ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic and English fluently, and a demonstrated ability to make clear and concise presentations in these languages.
