Internal Auditor

World Vision is an international Christian humanitarian aid agency working with the most marginalized and poor communities of the world.

World Vision International is implementing internal audit programs for each country office, this system should provide management with the reasonable assurance that the financial and operational transactions are in compliance with the Institute of internal Auditors Standards for the Professional Practice of the Internal Auditing (SPPIA), the US Gov't Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAGAS) for US Gov't Funding and WV's Financial Manual Internal Audit policies and procedures World Vision Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza is seeking a:

The successful candidate will:

Develop audit plans for the WV Jerusalem-West Bank-Gaza office based on risk assessments
Advise management on the formulation of risk management strategies and policies
Review office financial systems and report on compliance with the WVI Financial Policies and the
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and practices
Issue reports of audit results for all internal audits and special investigations earned out v ithin a two weeks period
Provide summaries of audit results and trends to management regularly and in subsequent audits
determine that audit recommendations have been tracked and implemented by management
Assist on international audit assignments as required by World Vision International
Assist in selecting firms, planning, and performing annual external audit work on behalf of external auditors

Qualifications/Requirements

-Bachelor degree In preferably business related studies
-Full accounting qualifications - ACCA, CPA, or other internationally recognized accounting qualification
-Minimum 3 years' auditing experience in a recognized organization. Experience in public accounting is an asset
-Excellent language skills in both English and Arabic (spoken and written)
-Committed to achieving quality results and service

-Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively - Ability to identify key information and communicate with good verbal and written skills. Where needed, ability to persuade and convince stakeholders
-Ability to think clearly, deeply and broadly - Actively seeks knowledge about the humanitarian industry and applies this knowledge to keep audit approaches current and relevant
-Demonstrated ability in practicing innovation and creativity - Identifies opportunities for new ~.r    innovative ways to lmprove work quality and efficiency through communications with Regional

-Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining collaborative relationships
-Ability to influence individuals and groups
-Computer literate with excellent knowledge of computerized accounting systems, especially SunSystem "Cross-cultural experience and understanding
-Willing to travel extensively throughout the West Bank and Gaza with occasional international travel
-Integrity and strong identification with World Vision Core Values
-Position is based in Jerusalem
