International Assistance Officer
The Representative Office of Canada to the Palestinian Authority is pleased to announce a job opportunity for an International Assistance Officer with an attractive compensation and benefits package. Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate will report to a Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager or a Program Officer. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Contributes to the delivery of international assistance program and/or project initiatives in the West Bank and Gaza according to Canada’s international development objectives abroad and specific strategies for the region.
- Provides advice and recommendations on the planning and delivery of project/program/thematic initiatives; drafts briefings, project approval documents, presentations, and other materials for supervisor; conducts research and analysis of trends and developments related to international assistance program/project/thematic initiatives.
- Establishes and maintains a network of contacts with the local government, local, international and multilateral institutions, the civil society, NGOs and the private sector.
- Assists in developing and implementing the communication strategy for the international assistance program, undertakes consultative activities with in-country/region partners to achieve intended results, and promotes Canada’s international assistance objectives by contributing to international development related discussions in relevant fora.
- Participates on committees and working groups related to international assistance thematic/projects/programs and performs other duties as required, for example; support official and/or high-level visits.

Qualifications and Requirements: The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Fluency in English and Arabic languages both written and spoken;
- Minimum of 3 years experience developing, implementing or monitoring international development Projects.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in conducting research and strategic analysis, writing reports, briefing notes and presentations, and providing recommendations and advice for international development projects.
- Experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, including preparing for and conducting meetings with key internal and external contacts.
Starting Salary: ILS 186,724.00 per annum, plus paid overtime and other attractive benefits.
