Islamic Relief Palestine established a center for psychosocial counseling in Gaza City. The centre
aims to create healthy atmosphere for children, through psychological support, educational support
and other recreational activities. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies in Gaza City.



Title: Social Worker
Ref: SW-CW-29-2010
Duration: One year (Full Time)
Main Duties: Collecting information about families and clients, using interviews, home and school visits, observational techniques. Develop therapeutic and treatment plans based on clients’ interests, abilities, and needs. Participates in individual and group therapy sessions with the
psychologist.

Candidates must possess the following competencies:
-University Degree in social work or related field, postgraduate degree is an advantage
-At least two years of psychosocial care experience.
-Basic knowledge in family counseling and cooperation with schools, social service agencies and CBOs. Basic understanding and skills of community work and education.

General Skills required for all applicants :
-Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
-Interpersonal skills and good communication skills. Good computer Skills.
-English language skills.
