IT Engineer and Administrator
Bethlehem Bible College is a higher educational institute located in Bethlehem. We are seeking to hire a qualified IT Engineer and Administrator with the following qualifications:
Job Title: : IT Engineer and Administrator
Job qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Experience and ability to develop, administer and manage websites and e-commerce sites using Content Management Systems (especially WordPress).
- Experience in Web development and the ability to write code (front end and back end) to implement custom-made changes to Content Management Systems.
- Ability and experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
- Ability and experience in conducting successful online marketing campaigns.
- Ability to administer and manage Learning Management Systems and Student Registration Systems.
- Strong software helpdesk troubleshooting skills.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and time management skills.
- Ability to work with subject-matter experts from different departments, and to conduct necessary requirements analysis that will lead to the development and/or requisition of suitable software solutions.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Technical administration and management of the Learning Management System of the college.
- Technical administration and management of the Student Registration System.
- Technical development and administration of all the websites belonging to the college.
- Technical administration of the college’s email system.
- Provide technical support for all Software used in the college, including accounting system, newsletter system, library system, etc.
- Provide helpdesk support for the employees of the college in any software issues they face (minor and major issues).
- Thinking and planning ahead to develop and enhance the college’s Software infrastructure.
Preferred additional requirements and responsibilities
- Ability and experience in maintaining computer network hardware.
- Ability and experience in maintaining and administering Windows-based networks via Windows Server, including working on Active Directory and managing the File Server.
- Technical administration of the college’s network equipment (wired and wireless).
- Technical administration of the college hardware (workstations, servers, printers, etc).
- Technical administration of the students’ computer lab.
- Hardware helpdesk troubleshooting skills.
