The A.M. Qattan Foundation is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of IT Supervisor to work in its offices in Ramallah. Following is the description of this position:

Job Objectives:
The IT Supervisor is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the Foundation's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data systems. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Systems Maintenance & Support

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.

Install, configure, and update computer systems, servers, and software applications.
-
Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
-
Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery operations.
-
Ensure data integrity and security, including implementing encryption and secure storage practices.
Security and Networking
- Maintain and monitor network infrastructure and systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and wireless access points.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect the organization’s data and IT systems.
- Ensure network and systems security through firewalls, intrusion detection systems, Endpoint Security and other measures.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and recommend appropriate security measures.
IT Inventory and procurement support

Participate in the procurement processes of IT equipment, systems and apps (specs and analysis).

Make a quarterly report on the status of I equipment inventory, & recommendations for upgrades and/or replacements.
End user IT support

Second level support for users in all relevant hardware and software matters

Schedule computer related services, updates, maintenance, and license renewals.

Ensure uninterrupted and effective IT services for the Foundation’s different offices

Provide in-house training/assistance to staff on usage of informatics equipment (computers accessories) and programs (software).

Set up user accounts including access control, permissions, and passwords.

Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services.

Provide technical support for the events & activities (external and internal).
IT Projects & Implementation
-
Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of IT projects, including system upgrades and new technology deployments.

Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Document IT procedures, configurations, and system changes.
Managerial Tasks
-
Documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests.
-
Provide technical documentation concerning all IT related activities and update it, Make a monthly activity report.

Participate in maintaining disaster recovery procedures.
-
Keeping track of technological advancements and trends in IT support.
-
SBuild IT awareness among staff members and work consistently towards improving and scaling up IT-related practices.

Supervise and monitor the daily activities performed by the sub-ordinate staff; conduct appraisal and determine training needs.

Prepare and present regular reports including those for the semi-annual and annual reports.

Maintain Data Center’s proper operating environment and follow up with facilities when needed.

Contribute to developing and implementing IT and data protection policies and guidelines and ensuring compliance.

Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in IT-related field (Computer Science, Computer Networking, and Information Systems)
Experience:

At least four years of relevant work experience.
Technical Skills:

Experience in managing IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.

Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and PBX systems.
-
Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
