Position: IT Support Officer
Type: Full Time (35 hours/week)
Location: Gaza, Palestine
Reporting to: IT Operations Manager (UK) & Finance & Admin Senior Manager (Gaza)
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40-year history. Over the last year support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP. Our challenge now is to retain this interest and ensure we sustain income as we respond to the ongoing emergency and the longer-term health of Palestinians over the coming years. With an ambition to be a £50m organisation in the next five years, our fundraising operations team, consisting of database and supporter care functions, will play a key role in enabling over one million Palestinians to access improved healthcare annually by 2028.
The IT Support Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the MAP's information technology systems, specifically within Gaza. They will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users (approx. 100+ staff), troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with the implementation of Gaza based IT projects. The individual will contribute to maintaining a secure and reliable IT infrastructure, enabling seamless day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will be a technically proficient IT professional with strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks, particularly in Windows and Android environments. Adept at problem-solving, providing excellent user support, and communicating complex technical concepts clearly. A collaborative team player, comfortable working independently within a dispersed team. Committed to IT security, compliance, and maintaining a secure environment. Flexible and adaptable, ready to respond to urgent needs, including out-of-hours support. Passionate about MAP’s humanitarian mission, with a keen interest in supporting its work in Palestine.
