IT Vacancy

The patients Friends Society (PFS)- Ahli Hospital is an independent, Palestinian NGO working in the Health sector, established in 1978 and based in Hebron, The PFS has received a grant from the European Commission to implement and administrate the wind energy project (ref.: DCI-ENV151707 Wind Energy), the PFS would like to recruit for the position of IT Professional for this project for one year (Renewable) until the end of project.

A female IT professional will be hired to this position for the purpose of female augmentation and strengthen their role in Renewable Energy in Palestine.

She will be based at Ahli Hospital offices in Hebron and will work to provide the following services:
 

 SERVICES REQUIRED

-Meet with different stakeholders to discuss the purpose of the website in order to analyze design and implement/develop a coherent content and technical website for the project.
-Set up a prototype website and review the prototype with stakeholders to get feedback and ensure satisfaction with the end result.
-Establish and maintain the website once it is completed by updating content, refining features and demonstrating innovativeness.
-Collect relevant web statistics on number of visits, location of visitors and pages visited

-Qualifications and Experience    
-Bachelor Degree in Information Technology  or related field  (Computer Science, Computer Engineering)
-At least 3 years hands-on experience in web design and  websites database management.
-Demonstrable technical proficiency on emerging Internet trends, technology, and tools.
-Ability to produce a highly impressive, creative web design in a timely manner, as evidenced by a portfolio of sites developed.
-Proficiency with Dreamweaver MX Suite, Adobe Photoshop, CSS.
-Ability in and working knowledge of CMS systems and PHP and Flash MX.
-Advanced web development skills using tools JavaScript and VBScript.
-Proficiency with relational database technologies, including SQL or MySQL.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially in Excel.
-English language proficiency both writing and speaking.
-An appreciation of the goals and responsibilities of Wind Energy Project and Green Energy technologies.

Expected outputs
-Publish & Maintain the centre content (Web-Page, Database for different awareness activities, Help desk and information base for wind energy, Collected data from the hospital site and from other sites, lessons learnt and other findings).
-Content updated regularly to reflect the progress of the project
