PROGRAM SUMMARY
Ta3mal Palestine is a new program that will increase job placements through the Palestine Ta3mal initiative.  Silatech and Microsoft have partnered with IYF to start the implementation and launch of Ta3mal initiative in Palestine. By combining all workforce development and employability stakeholders, Ta3mal utilizes technology to enhance national and regional efforts to facilitate transition into the workplace. Building on its extensive experience, IYF works as a strategic partner for implementing and managing Ta3mal in Palestine through providing access to its wide network of partners. Through IYF’s partners’ experiences in the field, the Ta3mal portal is connecting Palestinian youth with private sector, public sector, civil society and educational institutions through a user friendly platform, while providing them with the skills and training necessary to excel in the workplace.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
The Job Placement Assistant will be responsible for engaging employers in Palestine to use Ta3mal, source active job postings from them, help accelerate employer, jobs traction on the employment platform, and will build a wide network of employers focused on entry-level opportunities and internships for youth in Palestine.

The Job Placement Assistant will focus on gathering employer-level data that will help the project map out demand for entry-level opportunities in Palestine and further the program’s understanding of the entry-level job market in the country. A substantial percentage of time will be spent liaising over the phone and visiting employers in the field to build and expand significant relationships. The Employer Engagement Assistant will report to the Ta3mal National Coordinator.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employer Engagement:
-Develop and maintain relationships with local employers who have hiring needs for internships, entry and mid-career level positions
-Conduct outbound calls to employers to help them graduate to the next level of engagement, i.e. from registration to posting a job, reviewing relevant CVs, conducting interviews and hiring through the site
-Perform in-person 1-to-1 sessions with significant employers and providing them with training on how to use the system
-Address various employers’ concerns and suggesting enhancements to the platform
-Carry out presentations to employers, partners and other referral agencies to raise the profile and increase job vacancies on the portal

Employment Follow-up:
-Follow up with employer accounts on their needs, usage & behavior
-Follow up with employers on the number of hires done through the Ta3mal portal
-Identify low points of engagement across employers
-Conduct regular surveys of employers to assess satisfaction rates.
-Collect relevant data and prepare weekly reports
-Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

SUPERVISOR
This position will report directly to the Ta3mal Program Coordinator based in Palestine.      

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines
-Demonstrated history of achieving targets and servicing customers
-Excellent interpersonal skills and outgoing personality, must be very customer focused
-Ability to generate ideas and work within minimal guidance
-Detail oriented and excellent organizational and time-management skills
-Superior written and oral communication skills in Arabic and preferably in English
-Relevant experience is a strong asset.
-Experience working on International-funded programs in West Bank/Gaza and/or the Middle East region preferred.
-computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
