AlNayzak Organization is a Palestinian non-profit, non- partisan, and unique organization that looks for young talents in science, technology, entrepreneurship, engineering, and math (STEEM).

 

Position Definition

Responsible for evaluating bids, suppliers, products, and services, and negotiate contracts as per AlNayzak’s policies and internal regulations while ensuring compliance, quality, and cost efficiency.  The Procurement officer will act as the focal point for the procurement of services and supplies for AlNayzak Organization.

 

Roles and responsibilities

  • Ensure effective and timely procurement services following agreed procurement timelines.
  • Ensure fulfilment of the whole procurement process as per AlNayzak’s policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines as per donor requirements where required.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and completeness of all appropriate purchase supporting documents for approval, including procurement files, to facilitate timely payments of procured goods and services.
  • Execute, following appropriate authorization, purchase, and delivery of supplies, revise of contracts for purchasing of Goods and Services
  • Liaise and coordinate in a timely manner with the relevant programs, departments, units, and services regarding delivery of supplies, keeping all parties informed of any changes.
  • Manage and update an accurate supplier information database for regularly purchased items, including local market conditions, while actively and regularly conducting a prequalification process and establishing a vendor database with supplier performance information.
  • Respond to audits as required.
  • Implement delegated Logistics portfolio according to plan of action.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents and securing of supporting documents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Procurement systems.
  • Perform any other related tasks as relevant and requested by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

 

●       Bachelor's degree in procurement, business administration, finance, or a related field.

●       Master’s Degree (MBA) is a plus.

●       At least five years relevant work experience, preferably in a Local/ International NGO.

●       Experience within an audit sector would be considered a plus

●       Fluency in English both verbal and written.

●       Hebrew language is a plus

●       Valid Driving License

●       Excellent organization and time management.

●       management skills with the ability to multitask.

●       Ability to work under pressure and within a team.

●       Observation, active listening and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment

●       Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office.
