Founded in Bethlehem in 1953, Caritas Baby Hospital (CBH) is the only hospital in the West Bank specializing exclusively in pediatric medicine.

The hospital offers healthcare and psychosocial support for tens of thousands of babies and children annually, irrespective of their social background or religion.

CBH is a major employer in the Bethlehem area, with more than 250 registered staff. Since 1963, the hospital has been run and operated by the non-profit association Children’s Relief Bethlehem based in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Caritas Baby Hospital is looking for:

Junior Biomedical Engineer

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Hands-on inspect, maintain and repair medical devices such as laboratory equipment, patient monitoring, diagnostic and treatment equipment, infant warming therapy equipment, infusion equipment.
• Train clinicians on proper usage and upkeep of medical devices.
• Perform and record performance assurance procedures for medical devices.
• Ensure accurate inventory of spare parts and medical supplies at warehouse.
• Willing to be engaged in hospital committees.
• Ready to be on-call after regular working hours.
• Ready to comply with Hospital’s policies, procedures, and codes.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
• Problem solving aptitude.

• Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering
• Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
• IT skills and knowledge
• Good command of English language
• Able to write reports in both Arabic and English language
• Ability to communicate information effectively
