In order to support the HR department in GIZ country office at the German House we are looking for a temporary contract position
"Junior HR Specialist"
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
- Assist in collecting and organizing essential information and documents for the monthly salary calculations of NMAs.
- Ensure compliance with local payroll processes and contribute to the completion of monthly income tax requirements for NMAs.
- Ensure completeness and confidentiality of personnel files, regularly updating employee records.
- Perform electronic archiving, involving scanning and filing documents as per GIZ’s filing rules.
- Translate short documents from Arabic to English and vice versa.
- Assist in scheduling interviews and coordinating the recruitment process in collaboration with relevant staff members.
- Support in the preparation of health, critical illness and workmen’s compensation insurance calculations and documentation.
- Open personal files for new employees following GIZ’s filing rules and ensuring up-to-date records.
- Handle scheduling arrangements for meetings, interviews, etc., organized by the HR department.
- Prepare and edit routine memoranda, agendas, correspondence, official letters, and other relevant HR documents.
- Assist in data entry on SAP system and Leave management system (LMS).
- Develop and maintain a tracking sheet for all required HR tasks.
- Support in the preparation of initial employment contracts and contract amendments.
- Support in collecting relevant data for staff members' development measures.
- Perform additional duties and correspondence related to HR matters as requested by the Head of HR department.

Required Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field of study.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources, within international organizations.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding Human Resources information.
- Fast learner and ability to work under stressful conditions, self-initiator, flexible service oriented, friendly personality, well organized and motivated.
- Fluent in Arabic, very good knowledge of English (oral and written).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, identify errors, meet inflexible deadlines.
- Very good working knowledge of ITC technologies MS Office application (related software, phone, email, the internet and outlook, word, excel, Power Point. etc.)
- Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed -Accurate, reliable, open-minded, and positive attitude.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information highly organized, able to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively.
Assignment: Starting 15th of April 2024. This position is offered on a temporary basis, with an initial limited duration contract for one year. The possibility of another temporary extension subject upon organizational requirements.
