Junior Technical Officer

A.Responsibilities
The position holder is responsible for:
-The Junior Technical Officer is responsible for supporting the identification and preparation of new projects, accompaniment of PARF projects (clarifications on workplans and sequence of activites, coordination with partners and team members, output qualilty checks) during implementation, ensuring the fulfilment of contracts’terms, and keeping the Programme Manager updated about PARF projects’ status including deliverables, deadlines, and any other concerns. In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:

1-Core tasks
The position holder shall provide the following duties under the direction and supervision of the Programme Manager:
1-Support in Preparation of Projects
-Support counterpart institutions in operational planning
-Support budgeting of projects
2-Support in Project Implementation
-Coordinate, liaise and communicate with various project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
-Support in preparation of procurement and consulting contracts
-Support the planning and realization of workshops, meetings and conferences.
-Support collecting contract partners’ (providers’, consultants’) timelines and schedules for completion of milestones and deliverables for running contracts.
3-Support in Monitoring
-Support agreement on monitoring process with partners
-Maintain project status pages on MS Project (or whatever system the PM decides on) with milestones, deliverables, progress reports, payments…etc.
-Support obtaining deliverables, respect for deadlines and milestones for each running contract.
-Raise concerns, timeline slips, and probability of missed deadlines to the Programme Manager.
-Assist in monitoring and evaluating contents of deliverables of running contracts.
4-Support in Adjustment of Projects
-Support modifying/adjusting the financial plan of the running projects using the existing Excel system.
5-Support in General PARF Programme Management
-Archiving of projects’ outputs/deliverables.
-Support drafting monthly progress tables.
-Upon delegation, check electronic correspondence and note required actions and deadlines.
C-Required qualifications, competences and experience
Qualifications
-Bachelor degree in business administration or any equivalent studies
-Fluency in Arabic and English (speaking, writing and reading), knowledge of German would be an asset
-Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
-Excellent reporting skills
-Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Professional experience
-Minimum one to three years of relevant occupational experience
Other knowledge, additional competences
-Creative, innovative, energetic, decision making, communication and public relations skills
-Fast learner and team player
-Ability to work under pressure
