Legal Researcher

A USAID funded project based in Ramallah seeks to fill the following vacant position: Activities

 

 

Main tasks & responsibilities:
-Assist senior legal researchers in designing course materials for training of new and existing judges, and other legal training materials.
-Determine the Arabic and English further reading materials for each relevant course according to the course plan.
-Determine the relevant Palestinian, Arab, and foreign High Court precedents.
-Photocopy the materials and precedents.
-Design and carry out background research papers necessary to develop the course materials.
-Implement any other related tasks requested by supervisor.

Related Requirements, Education and Qualifications:
-Previous work with USAID or other donor-funded projects is highly preferred.
-Minimum of BA degree in law with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a relevant field
-Strong communications and interpersonal skills and strong Arabic and English skills.
-Ability to work independently
-Excellent computer skills and excellent research skills.
