about. Established on 1 January 2011, it brings together under one roof the long-standing expertise of the DeutscherEntwicklungsdienst (DED) GmbH (German development service), the Deutsche GesellschaftfürTechnischeZusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH (German technical cooperation) and InWEnt
– Capacity Building International, Germany. As a federally owned enterprise, we support the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.
We are also engaged in international education work around the globe.
 
TVET and Labor Market Programme
To support the Local Labour Market and TVET Councils (LET Councils) and link them with the
national level and the Programme Team of the GIZ, we are looking for three
“LiasionOfficers – Consultants”
for the implementation of programme activities of the “EU supportto TVET development in oPT”
with the public and private sector partners in Nablus, Bethlehem and Hebron (one each). The assignment is funded by the European Union.

Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
Support the EU Programmecoordinator and the Local Employment and Training Councils LETCs in
implementing the whole programme and in specific
-preparing a local promotion campaign on program disposition, objectives and intentions;
-drafting guidelines for the project selection cycles;
-identifying training needs for LET Council Sub-Committee(s);
-identifying needs for Technical Assistance to LET Councils and partners on local level;
-evaluating and monitoring the implementation of the sub-projects;
-maintaining the communication processes between programme, the LET Council and the subprojects;
-preparing meetings of the LET Council and related documents and the documentation of the processes;

Required qualifications:
-University degree in the fields of Economics, Business, Business Administration oranother relevant fields;
-At least 3 years of professional experience in working in project management and administration
in the Palestinian Territories especially in TVET sector and/or with international organizations;
-Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written), knowledge of German would be an asset;
-Ability to work within interdisciplinary international teams;
-Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills;
-Computer literacyespeciallyMSoffice.

Assignment:Starting October 1, 2011 up to August 2014
The assignment is designed to be a consultancy (service) contract of up to 300 working days (based on time sheets). Due to different work load during the assignment period the number of days varies.
