The French-Palestinian Decentralized Cooperation Network (RCDP)

The French-Palestinian Decentralized Cooperation Network (RCDP) is a French non governmental organization working in Palestine on promoting the French -Palestinian decentralized cooperation (cooperation between local authorities).
The RCDP wishes to recruit a Local Coordinator (LC) to serve the decentralized cooperation partnership between the City of Morttreuil in France and the village of Beit Sira in Ramallah region.
Among others, the LC main task would be to coordinate all cooperation projects between the two local authorities and particularly the creation and the organization of a water common service department in cooperation with the Palestinian national authorities and the local authorities concerned.

Name of the position: Local Coordinator (LC)
Duration of contract: 1 year (2 months probation period).
Place of work: Beit Sira village (Ramallah region)

Sought qualifications and competencies:
-University degree in engineering preferably in a technical sector.
-Knowledge of. the Palestinian local authorities' institutional composition, policies, laws, conditions, projects and in particular the water sector.
-Experience in projects administration; capability to propose methodologies for projects and activities; analytic and evaluation capabilities to help Beit Sira local council in planning and executing its common projects with its decentralized cooperation partner.    '
-Experience in projects and activities supervision.
- Capability to work under pressure; availability and self organizing.

in addition to Arabic, mastering English and/ or French (oral and writing) is a must. Interpersonal skills: skills in communication with others, negotiation, mobilizing and convincing.
