Local project manager

The Danish House in Palestine (DHIP) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2010 in Ramallah to strengthen bilateral relations, mutual respect and understanding between Denmark and Palestine. DHIP works to inspire, encourage and support a wide range of Danish-Palestinian professional, vocational, and cultural cooperation projects.

DHIP is currently looking for a local project manager to work closely with DHIP director and staff in the development and implementation of its vocational exchange and cooperation projects. We seek a creative, invested and dynamic professional with a strong interest in helping to consolidate the institutional profile of an emerging grassroots institution.

Starting date: As soon as possible
Employment: 6 months with possibility of extension
Workload: preferably full-time

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities entail all aspects of project development and management, incl. conceptualization, implementation, and evaluation. You will be responsible for:
-Developing concept notes and proposals
-Drafting implementation plans
-Managing other project logistics and coordination
-Managing project resources
-Reporting and evaluation.

 

Qualifications
-University degree in Social Science, Cultural Studies, Project Management or related field.

-Strong writing and communication skills in both Arabic and English
-Strong analytical, presentation and reporting skills
-Min. 3 years of relevant professional experience
-Experience with NGO work in the oPt
-Experience in intercultural dialogue and exchange projects considered an asset
-Creative, resourceful person with close attention to both detail and the overall
picture.
