Local Right Program Coordinator

ActionAid is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Local Rights Programme (LRP) Coordinator for 12 months period (extendable). 
The post location is Hebron
Start Date: Immediately

About the position: LRPs Coordinator is responsible for: overall program and projects, administrative and financial management of LRPs 1 & 2; networking and advocacy with local authorities and government line departments; representing ActionAid Palestine in different forums/meetings in relation to our work in these areas; contributing to child sponsorship development and to the realization of AAP’s CSP in LRPs 1 & 2.


The key responsibilities for this position will be as follows:

-    Over all coordination of the programs, projects and activities in LRPs 1 & 2.
-    Contribute to develop/prepare & monitor the annual LRP 1 & 2 plans and budgets, and monthly plan together with projected spending and monitor progress against this plan closely.
-    Ensure that activities are taking place on time in accordance with the budget and work plan whilst maximizing the benefit of the project for the community.
-     Conduct regular monitoring visits to the field and ensure all forms of monitoring are documented.
-    Ensure that narrative and financial monthly progress reports are submitted on time to the Head of programs.
-    Establish transparency and accountability mechanisms in all communities in the LRPs 1 & 2.
-    Development of relevant partnerships, preparation of MOUs, and management of partnerships in the LRPs 1 & 2 including regular meetings.
-    Collect information (qualitative and quantitative) for M&E at the community level as well as provide an analysis of the same for the Global Annual Report for AAI.
-    Co-ordinate with external stakeholders as per need for research and documentation in LRPs 1 & 2.
-    Responsible to facilitate child sponsorship activities as necessary and to ensure that child focused activities are included in the LRP plans and activities.

Eligible applicants are required to have the following qualifications and skills:

-    Holds bachelor’s degree in related field
-    Three to five years of experience in working with community and/or partners using participatory methodologies
-    Leadership and coordination skills with at least two years of experience managing a team
-    Good understanding of community empowerment and able to work with communities
-    Project management experience, including budget management and monitoring
-    Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
-    Proficiency in written and spoken English and Arabic
-    Excellent organizing skills

Indicative salary range: ILS 84,508.00 to ILS 102,762.00 gross per annum
