In the West Bank, IREX brings an innovative youth development approach that will lead the development and implementation of the USAID-funded Partnerships with Youth program in the West Bank.
Partnerships with Youth is a five-year, USAID-funded program that builds on and expands USAID-supported Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs) to create opportunities for active youth learning and innovation in the West Bank. PWY provides subgrants and technical assistance to eight YDRCs in Hebron, Jenin, Jericho, Nablus, Qalqilya, Tubas, Salfit, and Tulkarem, and two implementing partners in Albireh and Bethlehem to build their organizational capacity and improve their sustainability.
Summary of Position:
The PWY program is seeking for a 3-month Internship fellow .The PWY Fellows program guarantees the essential youth presence and voice in PWY activities and planning, and offers hands-on, practical work experience to young Palestinian professionals. Under the supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)/Communication Manager, the M&E and Reporting Fellow will assist with the project's M&E and reporting tasks.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following: Monitoring and Evaluation:
-Populate an Excel spreadsheet database of project beneficiaries in English from previous attendance sheets in Arabic;
-Maintain the Excel spreadsheet database of project beneficiaries, inputting new individuals to the spreadsheet from attendance sheets from recent activities;
-Enter post-activity satisfaction questionnaires into an Excel spreadsheet and compute results, averages, trends;
-Review supporting documentation for partner YDRC payment requests;
-Enter pre-/post-workshop tests results into an Excel spreadsheet to calculate change in knowledge.
-Organize, file and label hard and soft copy attendance sheets and post-activity satisfaction surveys; and
-Assist with data collection for organizational capacity assessments of the project’s partners if necessary.
Reporting:
-Translate communications and reporting materials to/from English and Arabic;
-Assist in the preparation of the biweekly report to USAID; -Develop success stories on a monthly basis;
-Develop content for social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, etc.);
-Attend activities and events to take photos and record quotations for success stories and other communication pieces;
-Oversee the picture folder on the project’s shared drive, labeling and organizing photos as appropriate; and
-Participate in other M&E and communications initiatives as needed under the direction of the M&E/Communication Manager.
General:
-Promote the PWY mission, strategies, and goals.
-Perform other duties as required or assigned.

-A fresh graduate from college or university with a degree in a relevant field.
-Must be less than 29 years old.
-Committed to the development of Palestinian youth, and interested in working with youth and community development programs.
-Self-motivated, quick learner, and able to take initiative.
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work positively and cooperatively within a team.
-Knowledgeable about Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
-Strong English and Arabic language skills, both written and verbal.
PWY Fellows receive a small daily stipend to cover transportation costs and other incidental expenses.
