MEAL Officer

MENACatalyst Foundation is looking for a MEAL Officer for a full-time, 6-month project in Nablus Governorate focused on supporting unemployed youth. Under the supervision of Project Lead, the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning Officer (MEAL Officer) is responsible for the implementation of MEAL activities in coordination and collaboration with the project team. The MEAL officer will be designing the project M&E plans and activities, conducting data collection, data analysis, reporting on conclusions and way forward to improve the quality of the project activities, coordinating with the Foundation team for capitalizing and disseminating lessons learned and best practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with the Project Lead to design the MEAL plan for the project.
2. Assist the Project Lead to design/development of MEAL documentation, tools and relevant methodologies aligned with the objectives of the project.
3. Contribute to the design of quantitative and qualitative data collection forms linked to MEAL activities.
4. Develop appropriate database and archiving procedures appropriate to the Project
5. Implementation and/or follow-up of MEAL activities in the field.
6. Work closely with the two field coordinators to collect information.
7. Ensure the monitoring and evaluation plan / tools cover all required indicators for monitoring the project's achievement and implementation.
8. Conduct data analysis and reporting according to project needs.
9. Ensure all reporting is completed at a high standard.
10. Communicate updates to the Project Lead promptly.
11. Prepare MEAL project reports, as requested by the Project Lead.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in the field of Development, Project Management, data science, or a related field
• 4 years of experience in Development and/or Humanitarian programming with MEAL functions
• Fluency in English both written and verbal
