The Role
The purpose of this position is to support the Saving Lives MEAL Specialist in Gaza to monitor the humanitarian program projects (including WASH, Food Security, Protection, Emergency Preparedness and Responses) at projects implementation level, including, supporting in designing of data collection tools, reviewing and validation of data, data collection, data analysis, and support in reporting, including coordination with projects teams and partners under the supervision of Saving Lives MEAL Specialist. The MEAL Assistant will be also contributing to the MEAL capacity development of Oxfam implementing partners.

What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor degree in one of the following fields, with at least two years relevant work experience: Statistics, Social Science, engineering, Food and Nutrition, Information Technology, or any other humanitarian fields).
- Minimum of two years’ experience, preferably in an international or local NGO, in similar role/with similar responsibilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of direct monitoring and evaluation experience, specifically in the humanitarian and development context.
- Demonstrated experience developing tools and systems for, and building capacity of others in skills related to, program tracking and documentation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methodologies, including logical models, conceptual frameworks, and assessment/evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience of implementing beneficiary complaint and feedback mechanisms.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge on Excel functions, including formulas and creating graphs from data sets
- Preferred knowledge of mobile data collection tools.
- Good-quality professional writing in English including data analysis is essential.
- Works systematically and with limited supervision.
- Shows evidence of proficient time management and organisational skills.
- Reliable team member.
- Assumes responsibility for work of contractors / staff.
- Fast, efficient, accurate.
- Fully capable of performing all aspects of job.
Desirable
- Previous experience in monitoring of Cash Transfer Programs

What we offer
The employee will be contracted by Oxfam with a competitive, fair and comprehensive pay and benefits package that is justifiable to our donors. Basic salary starts as 66,239 ILS gross per annum, for a 40-hour contract. Salary offered will be subject to funding available and competences.
